I wrote The Blaggard between 2002 and 2004 while completing my MA Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University, and made it available on my Lulu shopfront in 2007. I received a distinction on completion of the course and was awarded a Dawson Jackson bursary.

In English (please!) is an 85,000 word comic novel loosely disguised as a textbook for teachers and learners of English. This conceit is the first of many designed to carry the reader on a seriously playful journey around the English language.
